Commonly used therapies for valvular heart disease include drug therapy, interventional therapy, and surgical treatment. Mild heart valve disease can improve symptoms with drugs, but drugs can't reverse the damaged valve structure. Interventional therapy is a method of continuous development and exploration. The treatment is performed by femoral artery puncture, retrograde insertion of the catheter into the heart, dilatation of the narrow mitral or aortic valve through the catheter, or repair of the heart valve or implantation of an artificial heart valve through a catheter. However, interventional therapy is performed for a relatively short time and lacks long-term clinical observation. Surgical treatment is a common, reliable and effective method for the treatment of valvular heart disease. Valve repair or prosthetic valve replacement is performed according to the extent of valve damage and the nature of the lesion. When the valve structure is seriously damaged, such as mitral leaflet thickening, fibrosis, calcification, chordae shortening, aortic valve stenosis or loss of function insufficiency, requires the removal of diseased valve, and then made an artificial mechanical valve, valve or valve through the same biological method of surgical suture in the original valve, fixed position, completely replace the original valve function.
